Douglas Laboratories Niatab 500 is a dietary supplement providing sustained release niacin. Niacin occurs as two active coenzymes, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and NAD phosphate (NADP). NAD enzymes are involved in reactions that release energy from protein, fat and carbohydrate. NADP enzymes function in pathways of compounds like fatty acids and steroid hormones. Niacin is involved in normal blood cholesterol and lipoprotein levels. Niatab offers niacin in a sustained release dosage allowing for better tolerance and lesser chance of "flushing".Recommended use: Take 1 tablet daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.
