Douglas Laboratories Quercetin Bromelain Complex is a dietary supplement for immune system and antioxidant support. The bioflavonoid quercetin is naturally occurring and provides antioxidant activity in the gastrointestinal tract by preventing oxidation of lipids, preventing depletion of glutathione in the intestinal tract, and increasing mucus secretion from gastric cells. These actions support the gastrointestinal lining cells which, in turn, supports the immune system. Quercetin and vitamin C work together to protect against gastric lesions that allow antigenic proteins, antigenic compounds and infective agents from traveling into the body. Quercetin also supports the immune response to allergens. Bromelain is an enzyme purified from pineapple that maintains stability and activity in the stomach's acidic levels. It assists in breaking down large macromolecular protein complexes.Recommended use: Take 1 to 3 tablets daily between meals or as directed by a healthcare professional.
