I purchased Intrinsa. I weigh 105 pounds. How many capsules should I take daily? With or without food?
A person's reaction to butyric acid can be quite variable meaning some people do well with a little and some people can tolerate quite a bit. I would start with one cap with meals and then work up to the recommended 2 caps twice a day if that works for you. You should be able to tell by the bowel response. Some people prone to loose bowels will have to limit their butryic acid and some will have no effect on that at all, it just depends on the person. Whether you take this with or without food will also depend on how you personally respond. It might be important to take with meals or it might not be. Sorry to not give you cut and dried answers but that is the nature of the bowel response and butyric acid.
