Appe-Curb: Help for Over-Indulgence

Our brains consist of pleasure/reward and motivational pathways that are directly linked to cravings for almost any outside stimuli that demands immediate gratification. Substances in our brains regulate the need for reward, reinforcement, and motivation. Unfortunately, sometimes these substances go out of balance and what results is a craving. As we know, cravings can be incredibly detrimental to our health, particularly in the area of nutrition.

The following neurotransmitters are found in the pathways:
  • Dopamine
  • Serotonin
  • Glutamate
  • Acetylcholine
  • Assortment of peptides
Their purpose is to adjust and regulate the pleasure/reward, reinforcement, and motivational pathways. When neurotransmitters mentioned above may be deficient or out of balance, they can upset the control factor that we utilize to practice moderation. For example, we may develop cravings for carbohydrate rich foods or sugary foods. There is, however, a way to help control cravings by bringing those neurotransmitters back into balance.

Appe-Curb is used for the specific purpose of adjusting or regulating the pleasure/reward, reinforcement, and motivational pathways in the brain. As a result, we can make better food choices and reduce the cravings we have for particular foods or beverages that might not be good for us.

Appe-Curb contains a number of ingredients. They all assist in overcoming the immediate need to satisfy one's cravings. Ingredients in Appe-Curb include:
  • Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid)
  • Vitamin B-6 (as pyridoxine HCl)
  • Chromium (as picolinate)
  • dl-Phenylalanine - Has a dual role: Increases the release of CCK and PEA. CCK is a peptide that has to do with signaling the brain that it is satiated from eating, preventing overindulgence. It is also a precursor for phenylethylanime, which has to do with focus, concentration, and mood.
  • L-Tyrosine
  • L-Glutamine
  • 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan)(Griffonia simplicifolia)(seed) A direct precursor of serotonin, thereby increasing its levels.
By altering the pleasure/reward pathway, Appe-Curb is used to decrease cravings for things that might not be good for us, particularly foods rich in carbohydrates, sugars, and salt.
