Product Description
Douglas Laboratories Niacinate This combination of niacin and inositol prevents the "flushing" typically caused when niacin is taken. Niacin occurs as two active coenzymes, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and NAD phosphate (NADP). NAD enzymes are involved in reactions that release energy from protein, fat and carbohydrate. NADP enzymes function in pathways of compounds like fatty acids and steroid hormones. Niacin is involved in normal blood cholesterol and lipoprotein levels. Dietary niacin is typically well absorbed by the liver with excess being metabolized by the liver and excreted by the kidneys.
Recommended use: Take 1 tablet up to 3 times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.
