I wanted to try a topical form of magnesium since the other brand was giving me a bit of heartburn before bed without food. This gel really makes my skin itchy and prickly, though my husband does not have the same reaction. We usually leave it on for about 1/2 hr., then rinse it off. It's very sticky/gooey. I keep using it, because I'm hoping the itchiness will go away, and I haven't yet received my new brand of supplements yet. We'll see...My husband seems to like it. He slathers it on his shoulder (old volley ball injury) and he says it helps reduce the pain so he can get to sleep easier. I think this does help me get somewhat sleepy, but not enough magnesium for me.
