is formulated for extra sensitive people and is based on the popular RepairVite formula designed for intestinal support. The SE version eliminates the herbs that are in the regular formula because not everyone responds favorably to these healing herbs. This blend includes L-glutamine, brush border enzymes, and zinc carnosine to support intestinal microbial environment and intestinal cell metabolism. The limited number of ingredients is ideal for those with certain dietary restrictions at least as a starting point in gut repair. RepairVite-SE comes in a pleasant but mild orange flavor. Recommended usage: Mix 1 scoop with up to 4-6 ounces of water. Mix well before drinking. Use once a day, or as directed by your healthcare professional.

You recommend G.I. Benefits from DaVinci labs as a substitute to Repairvite K98, but I am allergic to pineapple & beets. Can you recommend another powder that is limited on ingredients with the L-Glutamine & Zinc Carnosine? Thank You
The Metagenics product might be more suitable for you. Here is the link.

what is in the natural orange flavor
The science of flavorings is fairly complex but we don't carry Apex products anymore anyway. We can recommend G.I. Benefits from DaVinci labs as a substitute. https://www.ovitaminpro.com/dvgibenefits.html

Can this product put you into a detox reaction or just it just repair w/o a detox? I am so very sensitive and everything I take I either react to or it puts me into a detox. Thanks!
It is not a detox product. It is mostly L-glutamine which is an amino acid that supports gut repair.

If I want to take a 2nd dose of RepairVite SE, and my 1st dose is in the morning before breakfast, when would be the best time to take the 2nd dose? Before Dinner, after Dinner, or at Bedtime? And what the reasons one would take 2 doses a day, and for how long would a 2 dose a day regime last? (2 weeks?), before reducing. My aim would be to accelerate healing of the gut from leaky gut, suspected SIBO, suspected IBS, and colon resection which involved removal of the illeosecal sac. Thanks in advance for your response.
The usual recommendation is once a day for the RepairVite. Usually this does the trick, it just takes time. You can't always get better results by pushing harder. You can experiment with two times per day. I would spread the supplements apart by maybe 6 hours or so. I would start with maybe a half a scoop for the second dose and work up to one scoop. Getting your gut working better takes time and the balance is easily upset so you will have to continue watching what you eat. If you have a severe case of SIBO, you may need an antibiotic series. Not my favorite recommendation as the antibiotics cause more gut problems but I have seen some cases where this was a good approach. Be patient and persistent, that is keep trying until you find a system that works well for you.

Do you take repairvite with clearvite for sibo or do you take them at different times?
I usually recommend starting with 6 weeks of Repairvite following the diet. Then you can start with the Clearvite for a 3 week cleanse but keeping the Repairvite to one scoop a day for maintenance.

Can this product be used by children 10 years and above. What kind of side effects can this product cause and are there any best practices to avoid the side effects.
Yes it can but I would start with a lower dose of half a scoop. L-Glutamine is good for gut repair at any age.

Hi Dr. Dan,
Can you please tell me if it's best to take this on an empty stomach, with food, after food, at night, or in the morning?
Most people do best taking RepairVite before breakfast. I would start there. Let us know if you have any issues with that although we haven't had seen many issues with this product in the thousands we have sold.
