Karuna 5-HTP (5-hydroxytryptophan) can be helpful in regulating sleep / wake cycles, emotional mood, appetite, pain thresholds via neurotransmitter support.
5-HTP is a direct precursor to serotonin, a key modulation brain and gut neurotransmitter. In our testing, we see serotonin deficiency as a common finding.
We don't recommend using high levels of 5-HTP for extended periods as the increase in serotonin will compete with the production of dopamin. Used occasionally in small doses can be helpful for minor issues for many people, however.
Recommended use: One capsule per day before meals or bedtime or as recommended by your healthcare professional.
