EnzymeGenix is formulated to support healthy digestion. Researchers tell us that about 60-70% of our immune system response is related to the gut. Taking steps to improve digestion will take some of the stress off that immune response. If you have any chronic condition or are over 40, it is time to consider adding digestive enzymes into your routine. EnzymeGenix is abroad spectrum supplement containing 10 digestive enzymes and places special emphasis on Proteolytic (protein digesting) enzymes. The enteric coating used in EnzymeGenix releases the proper enzymes at the correct digestive intervals for maximum activity. Also included is protomorphogen pancreas tissue to help further stimulate natural digestion processes. Recommended dose is 1-2 tablets with meals or as directed by your healthcare professional.

Currently I am taking your Numedica Digestive Enzyme with                                                *

    •   Protease (175,000)
    •   Amylase (175,000)
    •   Lipase (14,000)

I was thinking about trying this EnzymeGenix 90c.  However, it says:

  • Pancreatin (8x) 50 mg                                                 *
    •   Yielding: Protease (200 USP/mg)
    •             Amylase (200 USP/mg)
    •             Lipase (16 USP/mg)

I am not familiar with the 200 USP/mg on the EnxymeGenix product.  How does that differ from the NuMedica Enzyme with 175,000?

If I am reading this right, the NuMedica Pan-GL has more protease, lipase and amylase. EnzymeGenix (the formula we currently use at home) is a more general formula. It has 200 USP per mg x 50 mg of pancreatin per cap = 10,000 USP total of that enzyme. So these are similar but different products with different goals. If you know you need the protease, lipase and amylase specifically, the NuMedica formula is for you. If you want something more general, the BetterGenix product should do the trick.

Which of these two products EnzymeGenix & Pure Digestive Enzymes Ultra, has the most amount of Protease, Amylase & Lipase per one capsule? I noticed that the measurements are different, USP/mg vs HUT DU FIP.
1 Answer
Don't you just love the lack of unit standardization? These products are similar in that regard. I calculate 9230 USP for the Pure Encaps and 10,000 USP for the BetterGenix version. We have personally been using the Bettergenix formula for many years but Pure Encaps is a very trusted brand so I don't think you can make a bad choice here.

Focus on protein digestion, but what if salads and greens are major food choices? (Colon inflammation history)
1 Answer
There is protein in so many foods even vegetables. Plus digestive enzymes help in the digestion of all foods. When digestion is hindered it effects the health of the gut.

I've used two bottles of this digestive enzyme blend and so far I like it a lot. No heart burn and the digestive process is chugging along nicely. I use two tablets with each meal. Great price and great service. Thanks!

So happy to have found this must-have digestive aid! This product was my first review for the BetterGenix line by OvitaminPro. I had been using Apex digestive aids for the past year. While they were working well, I did have to increase the amount I took in order to avoid the heart burn which I had been suffering from for so long. As a result, I began spending more and more as I needed to keep increasing the amount in order to feel good after eating. Apex is wonderful but I was looking for a better way to cut my budget.

I took one EnzymeGenix™ just before breakfast in place of the Apex product I had been taking. I was so happy as I had the same results and did not get heartburn! I took this product just before breakfast for 3 straight mornings = success!

I proceeded to lunch and soon realized I needed to take 2 just before lunch in order to avoid heartburn or reflux. I have a very sensitive stomach so after taking 2 I was pleased to have success with this product!

Dinner was a different story though. I do not know if I did not have as good of a result with dinner because we eat so late, or because I take numerous supplements currently with dinner, but even with taking 3 EnzymeGenix™ I still had a bit of burning in my belly.

I will soon be blood testing and seeing my doctor and hopefully will be taking less supplements at night which will help with heartburn. I will give EnzymeGenix™ another shot at dinner after figuring out why I have trouble avoiding bloating, belching and heartburn lately no matter which digestive aid I take.

This product is dairy free, gluten free, and I like the enteric coating so much better than the capsules I have been taking. I also appreciate that it has calcium as I do not take calcium in any of the other supplements I currently take.

Best part is that I am going to save a ton of money taking this product! I would not promote this product if it did not work. I totally agree that sometimes trying to cut corners you end up wasting money. That is not the case here and you will love not only the savings but you will love how good you feel after taking EnzymeGenix™! Thank you to www.ovitaminpro.com for providing so many excellent selections to us gluten free sensitive (but now healthy) people!

Sometimes I try and cut corners with supplements, but it's rarely worth the savings. These digestive enzymes are easier on my gut and work great to keep things moving along. Good price too!
