Neurobiologix GI Hist Support designed to assist patients who have trouble processing external sources of histamine rich foods and nutritional elements. This formula is especially helpful for those with genetic weaknesses in A01C (Diamine Oxidase), the main enzyme responsible for the degradation of ingested histamine. Histamine excess may cause numerous symptoms mimicking an allergic reaction. Common symptoms of histamine intolerance include: Headaches, skin irritation, dizziness, accelerated heart rate, difficulty regulating body temperature, nervousness, nausea and/or abdominal cramps, flushing or redness of the face/skin, nasal congestion, sneezing, and difficulty breathing. DOES NOT MANAGE OR ADDRESS ANTIBODY RELATED FOOD ALLERGIES. The active ingredient in G.I. Hist Support is porcine-derived diamine oxidase, and research suggests that DAO derived from porcine kidney appears to have identical action to DAO derived from porcine intestine. Histamine is not only produced in the body but is also present in many fermented foods, such as sauerkraut, sausage, cheese, yogurt, and alcoholic beverages. Tuna, olives, spinach, eggplant, avocados, tomatoes, cherries, and citrus fruits are other histamine-containing foods which may cause GI irritation or histamine related reactions.
Recommended Use: Adults take one to two capsules no more than 15 minutes before the consumption of histamine-rich foods. Children take one capsule no more than 15 minutes before the consumption of histamine-rich foods or take as directed by a healthcare professional. As a daily maintenance support product, take 2 capsules in AM and 2 capsules in PM. Keep in a cool dry area.
Caution: Consult a healthcare professional before use, if you are pregnant or nursing. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid if allergic to pork or any other ingredient. This formula is NOT EFFECTIVE for symptoms of immune-related food allergies, such as peanuts, shellfish, etc., or for gluten intolerance due to sensitivity or celiac disease.

Hello, I have allergies. Nettles was found to be one of my allergens among thirty-nine other environmental allergens. Is this safe for someone like me or is stinging nettles different? I notice that one of the ingredients is stinging nettles. Thanks
Nettles and stinging nettles seem to be used synonymously. You should probably assume that a reference to one includes the other. That being said, some allergic reactions are absolute meaning you can't have any (peanuts, shellfish) and some are more dose dependent like maybe some forms of dairy or strawberries. If you have an absolute allergy, you probably know about that as it doesn't matter how long it has been since the last exposure, you will have the same reaction. If it is dose dependent, you might be able to tolerate a little bit without noticeable problems.

Do I still take my other digestive enzymes?
Good question. I think I would experiment with using this by itself for a couple of weeks. My guess is that your body will also want some HCl support and maybe a general digestive enzyme as well but it would be good to use this for a time to see how many of your problems are addressed by this one formula.
