Wondering what to order for my son who has chronic low to mid-level anxiety. He also has anxiety in various social situations, which can cause him to shut down.
He says alcohol helps reduce the anxiety. What/which products do you recommend I purchase for him? Also, would any of the lifeway patches be helpful?
I would recommend some serotonin support with calming properties like taurine and l-theanine. One of the best products for this is Travacor.
I would start with 2 caps one hour before bedtime. You might also try the Lifewave Glutathione Patch. Neuro toxins can contribute to anxiety.

Help! I just went on your website to order Kavinace only to find that it has been discontinued. I have been taking one capsule per night for the past 3 years. I have only 14 capsules left.
Is there anyway I can wean off, comfortably, with so few left. I am freaking out!
You aren't the only one! We are working hard on getting a replacement with the active phenibut ingredient. We use it ourselves and hope to have a replacement in the next couple of weeks. We do have a topic phenibut lotion that some people have found as a decent replacement until we get the other phenibut product ready to ship (two weeks??). The other product is NeuroBiologix Calming Cream. It works faster than the caps but doesn't seem to last as long. You should be able to put this on (inside of elbows is a good location) even if you wake up at 3 or so. It should help you go back to sleep without waking up issues. Look for BetterPhen under the BetterGenix brand in the next couple of weeks.

What is the difference between Kavinace and Travacor? I currently take Wellbutrin for my depression and anxiety but I still can't sleep due to anxiety and ADHD. What do you recommend?
Kavinace supports sleep by effecting the GABA receptors. Travacor enhances serotonin. Both are important for sleep. I often recommend taking 2 to three Travacor an hour before bed and taking the Kavinace about fifteen minutes before be. Sleep is difficult and there are many factors. I have been taking Travcor for a few years now to help me sleep. I read that Travcar and Kavinace work well together. How are they supposed to be used together? I ran out of Travcor and am using Kavinace to help me sleep and it works great! I am just not sure about using them together. I don't have issues during the day, I just have insomnia.
Travacor works on boosting serotonin levels. Serotonin converts into melatonin which as you know helps with sleep.Kavinace works on support the GABA receptors which can help in calming the brain, which in turns can promote healthy sleep. They do work well together by addressing both GABA and serotonin you can be assured of a better nights sleep. I usually recommend taking 2 Travacor one hour before bed. The Kavinace works best taken around 30 minutes before bed. You can take 1-3 at that time.

Hi! Is the kavinace 120 capsules and 60 capsules the same thing? Also, how long should it take for the kavinace to kick in? I'm taking it for anxiety- started on Thursday and today is Sunday. I started so far with one pill a day. Also, one last thing are u supposed to take it only at night or is it all right to take during the day? Please let me know thanks!
Kavinace 60 and Kavinace 120 are identical, it is just the amount contained within the bottle. You can take it during the day for anxiety, although on a day is a very low dose. I usually recommend taking 1 every six hours or 2 every six hours if one does not seem to be enough.Kavinace is usually pretty fast acting and you should be able to find some relief within 30 minutes.

Dr. Dan: There is more and more information coming out about Phenibut's liklihood of causing dependency and tolerance.. The stated solution is that one has to cycle on and off it. However, with insomnia, this can be not only problematic but quite debilitating as well. Even the NeuroScience website says it is necessary to cycle off for 2 weeks after awhile but they offer no advice to those who are taking the kavinace for insomnia. I would very much like to get your thoughts on this issue?
Dependency will vary with each personā€™s physiology. I suppose there is a small potential for dependency but havenā€™t seen it ourselves so far. Many people who have been using Kavinace for years have not noticed any dependency. That is to say that if they go off for a few nights, they are able to sleep OK without it and do not develop cravings for their Kavinace. To be prudent, we advise cycling it on and off periodically, maybe taking a week off every two or three months. Many people with sleeping issues find that a combination of supplements works for them. Some ideas of supplements we have seen commonly used are: Metagenics Serenagen, Dee Cee Labs Formula 303, various valerian preparations like Karuna Sleep and LifeWave Silent Night Patches. Often a combination of two or three of these on the Kavinace off nights can tide you over. You will have to experiment with these products to see what works best for you.

Why is it called Kavinace?
It is just a name that the manufacturer made up. There is no specific reasoning. I think they just have fun sitting in a room thinking up clever names!

I have read in several articles about Kavinace that it is a good idea to stop taking it occasionally so that your body can "reset" . I have been taking Kavinace for about 2 years and it is literally the best thing that ever happened to me. I do stop for a few days every now and then, but should I be following a more routine way of doing it? Thanks for your time.
I haven't found that to be true. I have many clients who have taken over several years without issues and it just keeps on working. I think that applies more to people that are taking phenibut in higher doses.

Have used kavinace and had great support from it. Have a friend who takes paxil currently and looking for sleep support. Understand paxil could be contributor to her insomnia issues, but wondering if any interactions/contraindications of taking paxil and kavinace. Thank you.
It should work fine together. We have several patients that are on Paxil and Kavinace and doing well. In fact the Kavinace is very calming for those that suffer from anxiety.
