My daughter has vitiligo and I gave her vitamin a emulsion in her bottle when she was young and it helped her pigment improve. Was wondering how much she is allowed to use safely on a daily basis. She is now 16 . She wants to try it again. What are your recommendation?
1 Answer
It would depend on how much other vitamin A she is getting. If she eats a lot of colorful vegetables, that could supply a fair amount. One drop of the A Mulsion contains 10,000 IUs so she might be OK with one drop a day or maybe better, one drop three days a week as the liver can store A. This is one case where is a little is good and more is not better. She can certainly monitor her skin response to the addition of the extra A. She might want to supplement for a couple of weeks per month. Hope this is a helpful guideline as nebulous as this answer is.

What is the best way to take this. One drop is not palatable by itself.
1 Answer
You can mix this in yogurt or something similar. You shouldn't notice it then.
