Pure Encapsulations IP6-inositol hexaphosphate 180c offers support for the liver, colon, breast and prostate. Since IP6 is related to the B complex vitamin inositol‚ it may have similar benefits. However‚ inositol hexaphosphate also contains six phosphate groups that contribute to the mechanisms of cells. Its antioxidant properties may also work to support the immune system. As a result of its potential to modulate hydroxyl radical formation‚ a supplement like Pure Encapsulations IP6 may help support your bodys natural defense mechanisms and protect you from sickness that may inconvenience you. There is a substance found in brown rice that may provide substantial health benefits; this substance is known as inositol hexaphosphate‚ phytic acid‚ or IP6. It is a natural antioxidant contained in corn‚ fiber-rich whole grains and legumes such as beans and sesame seeds. Antioxidants strive to fight off free radicals‚ which are activated oxygen molecules that may cause damage to cells. Since IP6 is found in almost every cell of the human body‚ its impact on your well-being is thought to be wide-ranging.

I recently purchased ip6 from you and now not sure how many to take. I have iron overload and my last ferritin test was 55%. The Dr. said I was fine with this, but researched and found a place saying, I should be at 50%. I have gone South for the winter and unable to donate any blood here and want to keep the levels from getting too high again this winter. I have been taking just one on an empty stomach and was wondering if I should be taking more than that. Thank You, Ginny
The only way to really know where your serum iron levels are is a blood test. With any treatment, you have to test, treat and then retest. IP6 each day on a regular basis might be too much. Most will want to use IP6 a few days a week so other minerals don't get depleted too. Options might be two capsules twice a week or one a day for a week and then one week off the IP6 for example. You have to experiment to see what works best for you. I would recommend a blood test looking at your serum iron periodically to make sure you are getting your dosage right. At least this is a non-fasting blood test so that makes it a little easier. Let us know what you find.
